How will USAA value my Ford Mustang after an accident?
How will USAA evaluate my Mustang after an accident? I was at fault in an accident but I have collision insurance. This car has been my baby since I bought it and I want to repair it if possible, but I don't want to pay for it out of pocket.
“To get the actual cash value (ACV), or fair value, of your Mustang, USAA uses a vendor tool called CCC One. To determine value, the user inputs your car information, like:
Unfortunately, if the amount of repairs is more than the ACV, your car insurance won’t pay for repairs. They’ll just cut you a check for the ACV.
You can use this amount to pay off the loan or you can put it toward repairs (although this isn’t recommended due to the excessive costs incurred plus a remaining loan balance).
If that Mustang is your baby, you might have to pay out of pocket.”

If my car is totaled, how does USAA determine the actual cash value of my vehicle?
How does USAA determine the actual cash value of a vehicle? My car was totaled by another driver, but I have full coverage through USAA. I've heard that USAA will give me the cash value of my vehicle, but then I'm still on the hook for any remaining balance on my loan.
