How wide is a 3 car garage?
What is the normal width of a three-car garage? I’m thinking about buying a new house with a three-car garage, and I’d like to put in a workbench. Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly how much space I will have.

Three car garages are usually about 32 feet wide, so you should have plenty of room for that workbench!
While 32 feet might seem like too much for three cars, the design is intended to comfortably fit cars of all different sizes. The average car width is about six feet, so you should have a cozy three to four feet of space between each car. But if you want to fit three cars and a workbench in a three-car garage, you may need to rethink your plan.
