Kitty litter. Before dumping a bag of litter on your driveway and risking funny looks from your neighbors, soak up excess oil with a rag or paper towels. Then, dump the litter over the remaining stain and step on it to work it into the concrete. Let the litter sit on the stain overnight and dispose of the oiled litter properly the next day. This method will only work for fresh stains, not older ones.
Coca-Cola. Who would have thought! Again, start by soaking up as much oil as you can with a rag or paper towel. Then, pour a few cans of Coke over the stain and let it sit for 12-24 hours. Wipe up the area with a towel.
Degreaser. For tougher oil stains, a degreaser may be your best bet. You can find commercial degreasers at most stores for pretty cheap. It works to break down the oil into a less-hazardous material that isn’t as harmful to the environment, so it’s a win-win.
