How to program a 2020 Ford Explorer’s garage door opener

How am I supposed to work this thing!? I just got it and there’s already something wrong! For some reason, the garage door opener in my Ford Explorer refuses to pair or anything. Am I doing something wrong here? How are you meant to program one of these things?

I’m sorry! That sounds very frustrating! Let’s see if we can get this issue straightened out for you. Follow the step-by-step instructions listed below. They’ll walk you through how to program a 2020
Ford Explorer’s
garage door opener:
  • Turn on your Ford Explorer
  • On the HomeLink button panel, choose one of the HomeLink buttons to reprogram.
  • Hold your old garage door opener about 2 inches away from the HomeLink button panel.
  • Simultaneously press and hold the HomeLink button that you’d like to reprogram and the open button on your old remote.
  • You should see the green HomeLink indicator light blink slowly, then rapidly, then turn solid—that’s how you know that your paring was successful.
Once you see the indicator light turn solid green, you’ll know that you’re good to go! And that’s how it’s done!
Once you’ve got your garage door programmed, consider taking a few minutes to review your
