Programming your own key fob can definitely save you money! Here’s how to program your
Nissan Sentra’s
key fob:
*Start by entering your vehicle, shutting and locking all doors using the driver’s side switch panel Insert your key into the ignition without turning it, then remove it quickly—repeat this 6 times in 10 seconds *You’ll know you’ve done it right once your *hazard lamps flash** Insert your key again, this time turning it to the ACC position *Within 5 seconds, *press the lock button** on your key remote to sync it with your vehicle *The hazard lamps will flash again, signaling a successful programming
If you have any extra remotes, you’ll want to unlock and relock your car’s doors (again using the lock/unlock doors button on the driver’s side panel) and then press the lock button on your key remote within 5 seconds. Repeat this process until all keys are programmed!
Once you’re done, exit programming mode by turning the key to the off position, removing it from the ignition, and unlocking all car doors.
