How to Open the Trunk of a Toyota Camry

I have a newer model of a Toyota Camry, the kind that comes with a trunk unlock button right on the key fob. Recently, however, that button hasn’t been working. How can I manually get my trunk open?

If the button to open your trunk on your key fob isn’t working, there are a couple of other ways to access your trunk in a
Toyota Camry
:
*Look for a trunk latch.** Your Camry may have a manual latch or lever to open the trunk on the driver’s side of the vehicle (usually beside the gas tank lever or the bottom left-hand side of the dashboard). *Fold down the rear bench.** If your Camry has hooks near the headrests in the back seats, you can pull them to fold down the seats and access the trunk cavity behind.
If you’re comfortable with putting in a little elbow grease, you can also open your trunk manually by accessing the trunk latch through the undercarriage of your car. To do this, you’ll need the help of a screwdriver, but all it takes is removing the bottlecap-sized rubber cover underneath the driver’s side of your car. Right above this cover is the trunk latch.
You could also try removing the door cylinder lock, but this method requires more tools and some complex steps.
