key fobs take CR2025 batteries—and a small flathead screwdriver to help you open your fob.
To open the key fob, follow these simple steps:
*Press the auxiliary key button on the back of your key fob to release your emergency key
*Remove the emergency key. You should now be able to notice two slots on the sides of your key fob case
*Insert your small flathead screwdriver into the slot and gently pry apart the two halves of your fob
Once you’ve got the fob open, make sure you don’t lose any pieces! From there, you can insert your new battery and reassemble the key fob.
