How to get someone off your car title?

How can I get someone off my car title? My dad doesn't want anything to do with my car anymore, so I need to take his name off the title.

It should be fairly easy to remove your dad from your car’s title!
To get someone off your car title, all you need to do is visit your local DMV and ask them to remove it, as long as the title states your name and/or your dad’s.
If the title says your name and your dad’s, then you’ll need him to fill out the back as though he was the seller and sign, consenting for the removal of his name. Be sure to check if your state requires you to
get a notarized signature
from your father as well.
Since the DMV can be nit-picky with car titles, it’s best to use neat handwriting and make sure the information is legible. Once approved, your dad will be off the title, meaning you’ll be the sole owner!
Since you’re changing your car title, check to make sure your insurance is in your name as well. A vehicle’s owner must be on the
car insurance
, so you’ll want to ensure the policy is in your name.
