This winter I’ve been tracking an unusual amount of salt back into my car, and let’s just say, you can tell. How do I remove the salt stains from my carpet?

Salt can be a big help on the road, but not so much in your car! Luckily, it’s easy enough to get rid of salt stains—just follow these steps to be prepared for the winter season
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water
Spray or pour the vinegar-water solution into the salt-stained carpet
Soak it for 2-3 minutes, as this helps to break down the crystalized salt
Now, use a damp cloth to rub the affected area
Blot with paper towels and/or a dry towel
Leave to air dry
