, so you’re right to look for a policy for your daughter. While states set minimums, it’s not a bad idea to purchase more liability insurance in case of a major accident. To get liability insurance, you’ll need your daughter’s personal information—including her birthdate and driver’s license number—and the make and model of her car. Keep in mind, individual policies for young drivers can be very expensive as they are considered high-risk drivers. It may make more sense to add your daughter’s liability insurance to your policy.
