How to find out what your car insurance company is?
I’m trying to help my parents get organized. They can’t remember what their car insurance company is. How can I find this information?

There are a couple of places you can look. You can try and first find their
proof of insurance
. This is usually a card that people usually put in one of several places:- The glove box
- Inside their car manual
- The visor
- Their wallets
If you can’t find the ID card you can check:
- Bills from an insurance company
- Bank account statements for auto payments from an insurance company
- Their local DMV
- Their state government’s department of insurance
If you find their insurance information, look for their
policy number
to get the details of their coverage.If their insurance is gone, then it’s important to make sure they have some coverage before anyone drives their car. Use
