How to connect to Bluetooth on the 2015 Ford Explorer?

We recently bought a used 2015 Ford Explorer, and it’s the first vehicle I’ve ever owned that has Bluetooth connectivity. How do I connect to Bluetooth on a Ford Explorer 2015 model?

Congratulations on the new vehicle purchase! Getting a new car always throws drivers into a bit of a learning curve, but luckily, connecting your phone via your
Ford Explorer
Bluetooth is pretty easy. You’ll just need to enable Bluetooth on your phone and add it through the SYNC system via your touchscreen display.
Here’s how to connect to the Ford Explorer’s Bluetooth using your phone:
  • Check to make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on.
  • On your Ford SYNC touchscreen, select Phone and then Add Phone. Your touchscreen might display a PIN to enter into your phone.
  • Navigate back to your phone’s Bluetooth menu and do a scan for devices that you can pair with.
  • Select SYNC, which is the name of your Ford’s multimedia system. You may also be prompted to enter the PIN if one is displayed on your vehicle touchscreen.
  • Once you approve the pairing request, your phone and Ford Explorer will be connected via Bluetooth!
That’s all there is to pairing your phone to your Explorer’s Bluetooth! Before you head out on the road, make sure to put some
safe driving tips
to use because hands-free calls and listening to music are still big sources of distraction. While you’re at it, check that your
car insurance
policy is up-to-date with the coverage you need. Happy driving!
