Definitely sounds like a strategic move! Charging an EV without your own personal garage shouldn’t be a problem as you have a few options. You could just charge at the public charging stations as gas cars do, or maybe look into getting a permit.

However, there is a great convenience of being able to charge at home if need be. Talk to your landlord and see if they’ll let you charge your car in a regular outlet or even an upgraded one. In many states, it’s prohibited from land lower to deny a request within reason. Just obtain a permit and you should be good to go.
