Charging an electric car in Las Vegas isn’t as hard as it sounds. The city itself has over 400 charging ports scattered across most of the metropolitan area—and these are just the fast-charging ports (Level 2 and Level 3 chargers). To charge your car, you may have to pay, which will have a rate that depends on the level of the charger you choose—Level 1 is the slowest but cheapest, and it goes up from there.
You’ll be able to use your phone or credit/debit card at the port to pay. But the other great thing? Most of the charging ports in Las Vegas are free—around 70%—so you won’t have to shell out much, if anything, on charging expenses. Otherwise, just be sure to plan your travels around the city based on proximity to a charging port. But depending on the length of time that you’re in Vegas, that could be a while; some EVs have a range of over 300 miles or more.
