How to change my car insurance to another car?

I recently totaled my car and I'm driving an old beater car for the time being. I need insurance to register it again. Can I change my car insurance to this car?

Sorry to hear about your car! Getting into an accident or finding out your car has been totaled is never fun. But the good news is you can easily change your car insurance to your other car.
To do this, call your current car insurance and let them know you need to add another car to your policy. If you filed a claim with your insurance for your totaled car, they may ask if you want to remove that car from your policy.
Some companies also allow you to add another vehicle online or through their mobile app. If you have an online account with your provider, check to see what services they offer.
In most cases, insuring an older vehicle is much less than a newer car because it has a lower actual cash value.
Regardless of the cost, consider comparison shopping. With the Jerry app, you can collect quotes for personalized coverage from multiple companies in seconds!
