How to add a car to my insurance?
What's the easiest way to add a driver to your car insurance policy? I just got my son a new car and it seems like it would be cheapest to add him to our existing insurance.

“Adding another vehicle to your insurance shouldn’t take very long. You can either call your insurance provider, visit their office, or access your policy online.
You’ll need to have some information at the ready, such as:
- Your existing car insurancepolicy number
- The new car’s vehicle identification number (VIN), as well as its make, model, and year
- The new car’s license plate number
If you’ve already got a couple of cars on your insurance policy, you’ll need to check with your insurer to see if you can add more. Many insurers won’t allow more than two or three cars on the same policy, so you might need to set up new insurance for your new car.
