How reliable is a Nissan Maxima?

I’m looking for a good family car with a fair bit of cargo space and low maintenance costs. I love the new Maxima but I wonder if it’s reliable.

Having a car with a good reliability score is key to saving money on repair and maintenance costs. The
Nissan Maxima
 gets a reliability rating of 93/100 and ranks #1 for large cars by J.D. Power. And with an average annual repair cost of $540, it’s lower than average ownership costs.
With a powerful V6 engine, the Maxima offers a gentle ride, classy cabin, and sound infotainment system—but drivers may not find it as well-rounded as other large car rivals. And when it comes to fuel costs, expect to pay more than other vehicles of a similar size.
But if you’re looking for a reliable vehicle long-term, the Maxima can’t be beaten, with an average lifespan of 150,000 to 200,000 miles (10-13 years) if maintained properly.
One area where you can probably find additional savings is car insurance.
