How reliable is a Chevy Tahoe?

My wife is preparing to buy a Chevy Tahoe, but I’m a little hesitant about it because I’ve always been a Ford driver. Are Chevy Tahoes reliable? Will it last her for a while?

Compared to other midsize SUVs, the
Chevy Tahoe
has a relatively low reliability rating. While repairs aren’t very frequent for the Tahoe, they do tend to be significantly more severe than repairs on other vehicles. In short, you’re right in thinking that most
Ford
SUV models are significantly more reliable and durable than the Chevy Tahoe.
That said, there are still advantages to buying a Chevy Tahoe:
  • Excellent cargo space
  • Great safety features
Provided that you don’t run into one of the more expensive problems with the Tahoe, it’s still a great choice for your wife’s next vehicle.
