How reliable is a Chevy Impala?

I really want a Chevy Impala because they drive one on Supernatural and I think it looks so cool. Are they reliable? Would an Impala be a good investment, or should I find a different type of car?

The
Chevy Impala
has a good reliability rating and scores well when compared to other full-size cars on the market right now. If you choose to buy a modern Chevy Impala, it could last you for 230,000 to 250,000 miles without suffering major problems or breaking down.
Of course, the boys in Supernatural drive a Chevy Impala from 1967, so their car will look pretty different from the modern Impala models that are currently available for purchase. The 1967 Impala is still pretty reliable, but older cars will almost always be significantly less reliable (and sometimes even more expensive) than newer ones.
If you decide to get an Impala anyway, you’ll need a good
