How old do you have to be to rent a car in Connecticut?

I live in Florida but I’m flying to New England for a short vacation. I won’t have my car with me, so I’ll have to rent a vehicle. I know you have to be older than 16 to drive a car, but how old do you have to be to rent one in Connecticut?

In
Connecticut
, you’ll need to be at least 21 years old to rent a car. Many companies may also charge a young driver’s fee if you’re 21 to 24 years old. Check with the company you’re renting from about their specific rental qualifications and requirements.
Don’t forget to also bring a credit card for payment and deposit, a valid photo ID/driver’s license, and
proof of insurance
at the time of booking. It may also be worth looking into
rental car insurance
for your travels.
