.It should be noted that insurance policies are legal contracts and you might need a parent or guardian to co-sign the policy if you’re a minor. In Indiana, however, you’ll be able to buy your own insurance without a co-signer when you’re 18—but you probably won’t want to. Here’s why.
Insurance for young drivers is expensive. It will likely be much more affordable if you’re added to your parents’ policy instead of getting your own.
