How often will I be billed for renters insurance? Monthly? Yearly?
"I'm moving out of my parents' place and trying to figure out my budget. What type of billing schedule can I expect for my renters insurance?"
“Renters insurance can be billed in many different ways, and it is typically very inexpensive. Most companies are very flexible and offer the option to set up monthly or quarterly payments; you also have the option to pay your premium in full upfront.
With regards to the term, a property insurance policy will always be written for one year. Like with most policies, if you are able to, it is usually more cost-effective to pay for the full year and avoid any installment fees. “
