How often should you change your car tires?

When should I change my car tires next? I have an all-wheel-drive vehicle and I’m not sure how often I should be replacing my tires, or if I need to replace them at different times.

Usually, it’s a good idea to change all four of your car tires every six years, regardless of how many miles you drive. However, certain conditions can cause your tires to suffer from more wear and tear over time.
To check the wear and tear of your tires, insert a penny upside down into one of the treads of your tires. If you can see the top of Lincoln’s head, you might need new tires.
The best thing you can do to make your tires last longer is
keep them properly inflated
. If your tires aren’t properly inflated, they’ll wear unevenly. Uneven wear on tires can increase the risk of a flat or leaky tire, so it’s important to keep your tires in good shape.
If you do get stranded with a flat, though, the
Jerry
app offers a roadside assistance membership that can help you out. For as little as $4.16 per month, Jerry offers benefits like towing, lockout service, and a mechanics hotline. To find out if you’re eligible, you can check the app or call one of our friendly agents!
