How often is roadside assistance used?
I know my Chase card offers me free towing, but will that be enough? I recently purchased a new 2021 Volkswagen Up. At the time of the sale, I declined the towing package the dealership offered, but now I am second-guessing myself. How often do people need to use towing coverage anyway?

- Will I take advantage of the additional benefits offered by a towing membership, or do I need a more straightforward plan?
Since you have a
new car
, the odds of you needed a tow due to breakdown are relatively low. The average person only uses a tow service about once every three years. If you have free towing with your Chase card, that will be sufficient for you right now. As your car gets older or if you notice your driving habits have changed, you can purchase additional towing coverage at any time.”
