How often do you have to charge your Tesla?

I want to buy an electric vehicle—but I don't want to get stuck on the side of the road! How long can you drive a Tesla without charging it?

“If you’ve never had an electric car before, it’s reasonable to be concerned about the battery—but there’s not much to worry about with a Tesla. Typically, you’ll only need to charge your Tesla one to two times per week!
Different types of electric cars require different amounts of charging. Since Teslas run on lithium batteries, it’s a good idea to charge yours before it falls below the 20% battery capacity mark.
When the weather is colder, you may need to plug in your vehicle more often. At the same time, it’s recommended Tesla owners avoid fully charging their car, as doing so can potentially damage the battery.
