“While how often you need to charge your car varies, but thankfully, Tesla makes it easy to plan charges along your road trip route!
All Teslas
have a Go Anywhere feature to help plan your route to include charging stations. While you’re traveling, there are two options that your Go Anywhere or trip planner would include in the route.
Supercharger is for speed and convenience. These locations can give you up to 200 miles of charging within 15 minutes.
Destination charging can give you about 44 miles per hour.
Keep in mind that charging at these locations will not be free. For example, at a supercharger, you’ll be billed per kilowatt-hour or minute. Taxes, fees, peak and non-peak hours, and various other factors can influence the cost, so make sure to budget accordingly.
Just in case, your Tesla should have come with a mobile charger as well. A mobile charger offers 2 to 3 miles per hour charged.
Since you often take road trips, it’s a good time to have roadside assistance. You can get this easily with the Jerry
app. Jerry’s roadside assistance provides jump starts, lockout service, key replacement, and towing. I hope you have a great road trip!”
