How often do car insurance claims go to court?

I've been in two accidents and they were settled pretty quickly. However, I've heard that some insurance claims can go to court. I don't plan to be in any accidents in the future if I can help it, but why would a case like this go to court? And how often does this happen?

“That’s a good question, and kudos to you for thinking ahead! I’m happy to say that less than 10% of
car insurance
claims go to court. The few that do are cases that require litigation, and they are usually settled out of court.
To avoid litigation or lawsuits, make sure you have the required state minimum
liability coverage
—driving without it may lead to a lawsuit or another situation that can leave you in financial dire straits, especially if you get into an accident.
One easy way to make sure you’re getting the best price on the coverage you need is to use the
Jerry
app. We’ll get you customized quotes from multiple providers so that all you have to do is pick the policy that works best for you. If you do decide to switch, we’ll help with all the paperwork and phone calls, too!
Drive safely out there!”
