There’s no hard-and-fast number for denials. Legitimate home insurance claims are usually processed, but denials can happen for many reasons. Missing a claim filing deadline, not being covered for the peril that caused the damage, or having the damage stem from neglect are the most common reasons for denial. When you have a claim, do not wait. Get in touch with your agent right away. They can walk you through the claim process so that things will be processed as smoothly as possible.
