As you are a new driver, your rate is going to be higher than someone who is older. The type of vehicle you want can also impact your rate. Sports cars tend to be rated higher than standard vehicles due to risk and usage.
If you’re going to be on your parents’ insurance, they can get a quote from their insurance with your new vehicle added. If you’ll be getting your own policy, you should look into multiple car insurance carriers.
