How much will it cost to be added to my parents' car insurance policy in Tampa Bay, FL?

I currently have my learner's permit and want to get my driver's license ASAP. My parents want me to pay the cost difference to add me to their insurance policy. Their insurance company says they can't provide a reliable estimate. Any idea how much this is going to cost?

“Most insurance companies require that anyone of driving age in the household be listed on the policy, so you may already be on your parents’ car insurance as a permitted driver.
Depending on the company, they may not be able to give you an estimated increase without actually making the change to the policy.
To minimize the impact to the policy, you should maintain a good driving record and look into discounts, like the good student discount and discounts for driving safety courses.
The best way to find out how much this will all cost is to comparison shop. Get quotes from multiple carriers for the same level of coverage and see who offers the most affordable price.
