How much should I pay for liability insurance in an affluent neighborhood in Los Angeles?

I'm 21 and I have had one minor accident. I pay around $1,600 in liability insurance for a six-month policy. Should I shop around for a better rate, even if I live in a wealthy neighborhood in the Los Angeles suburbs?

“California has some of the lowest minimum
liability insurance
requirements in the country.
Based on where you live, the minimum 15/30/5 liability coverage is basically in place so you can drive legally; it’s unlikely to cover much of anything in the event of an at-fault accident.
Instead, you might want to consider getting 250/500/250 liability insurance, or even up to $1 million on
bodily injury liability
and
property damage liability
due to the increased cost of living where you are.
As for what you can expect to pay, it will vary, especially because you’ve had an accident and because of your age. Shop for
car insurance quotes online
to compare rates from the top insurance companies and get the most affordable premium.”
