How much of a credit score is required for a car loan?

I am looking to get a car loan, and I know there are different credit scores. I am wondering what the recommended credit score is for a car loan?

There is no required credit score for a car loan; you can find lenders who work with people with bad credit and no credit. However, with a credit score of 661 or higher, you’ll pay less in the long run.
Credit score grouping can vary depending on the lender, but generally, these include:
  • Super-prime: 781–850
  • Prime: 661–780
  • Nonprime: 600–660
  • Subprime: 500–600
  • Deep Subprime: 300–500
The higher your score, the better your
interest rate
will be.
