How much is it to get a BMW oil change?

How much does it cost to get a BMW oil change? My friend and I were having a debate about whether oil changes cost more or less for nice cars. I think they cost more, but they don't agree.

You’re correct! Oil changes cost more for expensive cars. It will usually cost between $135 and $175 to get a BMW oil change. Alternatively, an oil change for a more affordable car will cost between $35 and $75. The reasons for the price difference are the type of oil, parts, and labor.
  • BMWs use special synthetic oil that performs better at low temperatures. It also cleans the engine while it heats and lubricates moving parts. Standard oil changes use conventional oil, which costs a whole lot less.
  • ** BMWs have specific oil filters**, designed for use with their synthetic oil. Though the difference in cost isn’t too significant, BMW oil filters are more expensive than the standard ones.
  • BMW only certifies specific service teams, meaning that some shops may not have the specialized equipment or recommended equipment.
Even without specialized equipment, just about everything is more expensive for a nice car! Insuring a
Mercedes-Benz
can cost four times as much as it costs to insure a
