How much is Hyundai’s disposition fee?

The lease on my Hyundai is about to run out, and I know I’m going to have a few fees to pay when I turn the car in, so I’m trying to plan ahead. How much is Hyundai’s disposition fee?

The
Hyundai
disposition fee, also known as a turn-in fee, is usually $400. This fee covers the cost of cleaning a leased vehicle and getting it ready for sale as a used car—but you may be able to avoid it.
You can usually avoid paying a disposition fee if you
  • Buy your leased vehicle: If your contract includes a purchase option, selecting it often waives the disposition fee. However, some dealerships include a purchase option charge if you decide to buy your vehicle at the end of the lease.
  • Sign another lease: Hyundais are great cars, so we wouldn’t blame you if you chose to lease another. Doing so with the same dealership or leasing company often results in a waived disposition fee on your previously leased vehicle.
If you choose to lease another Hyundai, or another vehicle entirely, be sure to check the contract before you sign. If you see a lease disposition fee listed, you may be able to negotiate to have it removed.
