How much is car insurance for a college student in Ohio?

How much can I expect to pay for insurance if I have my own plan? My parents will not keep me on their car insurance plan when I go to college and I'm in the process of purchasing my own car.

“If you’re a college student in Ohio and you’re under 25, car insurance companies deem you high risk due to inexperience.
As a result, your premiums are going to be far higher.
The average cost for a 20-year-old for car insurance is $3,816 per year, which makes taking the bus or riding a bicycle a seemingly better option.
That said, there are ways to save money on car insurance for college students.
If you’re a good student, which in most cases means maintaining an average GPA of 3.0 or higher, you may qualify for a good student discount.
If you need to purchase renters insurance, you may be able to bundle your policies for a better price.”
