A comprehensive analysis from Consumer Reports reported that on average, BEVs or battery electric vehicles required an estimated $0.031 per-mile in repairs and maintenance costs for the lifetime of the car. That’s compared to a $0.61 average for internal combustion engine cars.
A separate study from AAA estimates that regular maintenance and repair of your electric car will cost about $949 annually, that’s $330 less than a gas-powered car.
