I’m having some suspension issues with my car. How much does it cost to replace the struts on a car?

Strut replacement usually costs between $150 to $450 per strut, depending on your make and model. Since struts should be replaced in pairs, your total strut replacement cost will be between $300 and $900.
Keep in mind: Your strut is just one part of the full
strut assembly
, which also includes:
  • Isolator pads
  • Jounce bumper
  • Top strut mount and bearing
While a strut assembly, or loaded strut, will almost always be more expensive than a bare strut, the labor to replace a loaded strut is much less complicated.
All that’s needed to replace a strut assembly is a few wrenches and a socket set—replacing just a bare strut, though, requires specialty tools and professional knowledge.
Any suspension work should be followed up by a wheel alignment, which will add around $50 to $150 to your bottom line.
