When it comes to determining the cost of replacing an OEM Prius battery, the most important factor is whether your Prius is an all-gas or hybrid vehicle—but the quality, size, and power output of the replacement battery also play a role.
If you drive an all-gas Prius, expect an OEM battery replacement to cost somewhere between $170 and $250 before taxes, shipping, or installation.
Replacing the OEM battery in a hybrid Prius, on the other hand, is a whole different story and is much more expensive—expect to pay between $1,000 and $1,400.
