We recently had a pretty bad storm where I live and it seems a branch broke and landed on my car, denting the hood—how much will it cost to repair a dented hood?

Sorry to hear about the damage to your car! Depending on the severity of the dent and the material your hood is made of, expect the cost of repairing a dented hood to fall somewhere between $50 and $500.
If you’re dealing with a smaller dent, one that’s less than an inch in size, repairs can cost anywhere from $50 to $125, with the exact price depending largely on the mechanic you take your vehicle to.
Larger dents, on the other hand, typically cost between $100 and $500 to repair, with every ½ inch adding an additional $20 or so to the total cost.
That said, you may not have to pay full price to repair a dented hood if you have comprehensive coverage on your auto insurance policy, an add on that covers many weather-related damages.
