How much does it cost to rent a car dolly?

I'm in the process of moving right now, and I think it might be cheaper and easier to get a car dolly than to drive back and forth from my new apartment to my hometown over and over. How much do car dollies cost?

Towing dollies are a great option, whether you’re
moving to a new city
or just going on a trip. They’re definitely more affordable than an auto transport service, though the final price will depend on the details of your trip.
If you’d like to rent the dolly, you’ll be paying anywhere from $40 to $320 or more, depending on how long you need the dolly for and how far you plan to drive it.
If a dolly is something you’d end up using a lot, you could instead purchase one for somewhere around $2,000 to $4,500.
If you’re moving states, don’t forget that you’ll need to update your car insurance, too. Each state has different insurance laws. Download the
