How much should I expect to pay to jump start a car?

Hypothetically, how much might it cost to jump start my car if I don't have roadside assistance? My car has charging system problems and I don't have roadside assistance with my insurance company.

The cost of a jump start depends on your circumstances and where you are. If you’re in a parking lot, you might be able to find someone willing to jump start your car for free.
If you’re stranded somewhere and have to call
AAA
or a similar service as a non-member, you might be looking at $50 or more to get a jump start.
You should consider adding
towing and labor coverage
to your car insurance policy. This will allow you to get jump start coverage at no extra cost other than the small add-on fee ($15 to $25 a year) to your policy.
Similarly, if you become a member of AAA, you’ll qualify for certain types of roadside assistance at no additional cost (beyond the annual membership fee).
