How much does it cost to insure a motor home?

I’m looking to purchase a motor home for my six-month trip around the country, and although I have experience driving them, I don't know much about insurance. How much would it cost for me to insure a motor home?

A motorhome could be the most cost-effective way to make your six-month journey across the US! Generally, the cost to insure a motorhome will range anywhere from $600 to $2,000 annually.
Although this is quite a large price range, you can usually narrow it down depending on whether the motorhome is a Class A, B, or C, whether it takes diesel fuel or standard gas, and the amount of coverage you need.
In the United States, motorhome owners are only required to have the minimum
liability coverage
, which covers bodily harm and damage liability. Every state will have its own minimum requirements, so be sure to check your
state’s insurance minimum
.
