The cost to have a car resprayed will depend on the level of service you choose:
- Basic: This is the most inexpensive option. It involves few coats of paint and leaving out areas not normally visible, like the inside of the hood. The price will range between $300 to $900.
- Standard: This includes sanding the body and removing rust before painting the vehicle for a smoother finish. The cost will range between $1,000 to $4,500.
- Showroom quality: Just as the name suggests, this is meant to make your car look brand new. The process includes sanding to bare metal, removing rust and dents, and applying 20-plus coats of high-quality paint. It could cost up to $20,000.
To decide which service suits you best, determine your needs and budget, then collect quotes from local auto body shops. Be mindful that, although everybody wants a cost-effective service,
