The average bumper repair costs between $100 and $800, depending on the severity of the damage. Bumper replacement costs, on the other hand, can be as high as $2,000, especially for high-end vehicles.
The cost to repair a bumper depends largely on how serious the damage is. Some bumper repairs are an easy DIY project; others require expert assistance.
- Minor dents in the rear bumper cost $100-$200 to fix. Ask your mechanic about paintlessdent repair, which avoids damaging your car’s original paint job.
- Larger dents cost between $200 and $600 to remove.
- Cracks and holes raise the price to $300-$450. Depending on the severity, your mechanic may have to inject some plastic filler, sand it, and re-paint it.
