How much does it cost to fix the gas gauge on a car?
I was driving down the street when I noticed I was out of gas. At the gas station, it only let me put in a few gallons, which made me think the gauge was broken. How much does it normally cost to repair a car gas gauge?

It’s definitely frustrating to have a broken gas gauge, but it’s definitely a fixable issue! To fix the gas gauge on a car for the lowest price, you could buy the part for about $50 to $200 depending on the model of the car..
If you want to go to a repair shop, expect to spend about $200 to $300 on labor if you buy the new gauge on your own. A dealership will charge even more, with some sources stating that you’ll pay between $300 and $1,000 depending on the make and model of your vehicle.
