How much does it cost to fix a car frame?

I was in a bit of a fender bender with my old 1993 Toyota Tacoma. I don’t have collision coverage, so I have to get my truck repaired myself. I think there may be some frame damage, but it is still drivable. How much does it cost to fix a car frame?

The cost to fix a car frame can range from $600 to $10,000.
For the safety of the passengers, cars nowadays have what is called crumple zones
  • Crumple zones: Locations on the vehicle designed to absorb most of the impact of the accident. If it was a slight impact, you might get your
    Toyota Tacoma
    fixed for under $1,000.
If there is any damage to the frame, make sure to have it fixed or
trade the truck in
for a new one. Even if it is drivable, any unrepaired frame damage means your truck won’t protect you as much as it should if you are ever in another accident.
Pro tip: The best way to find out is to have a mechanic take a look at your framework.
