How much does it cost to cancel car insurance?

I no longer need a car insurance policy as I'm selling my car. I still have two months left in my term. How much will it cost to cancel my insurance?

The cost of
canceling your car insurance
 will depend on your insurance provider.
Although you can cancel your insurance policy at any time, some
car insurance companies
 may charge fees for doing so before your renewal period. Since you have two months left in your term, reach out to your insurance company.
An agent will be able to provide you with information regarding any fees associated with cancellation. Typically, it’d be a flat fee or a percentage of the premium owed. If you paid in full, you’ll also likely receive a prorated discount for the months you didn’t use.
Since you’re canceling your car insurance, you may want start shopping for a new policy, or at least if you’re buying a new car. Use the
