How much does car detailing cost?
I just bought a new Audi and I'd like to get it detailed to keep it looking brand new; I like to keep my cars in good condition. However, I'm not sure how much detailing costs and I'm on a budget at the moment. I want to make sure I can afford everything, so how much does the detailing typically cost?

“Congrats on the new car! The cost to have your car detailed will depend on where you get your vehicle detailed and the type of services you’re getting done. Many detailing companies now offer mobile services, which can also influence the price.
Basic packages can vary in price, but you can expect to pay between $40-$70. Most companies also charge an additional fee if you have a van, SUV, or truck, and prices can increase depending on whether or not you add on any extra services.
Most basic packages include:
- Vacuuming
- Steam cleaning of dashboard, cupholders, and doors
- Cleaning of windows
Full detailing, which may also include exterior cleaning, can cost up to $300. In addition to the basic services, full detailing will normally include:
- Trunk cleaning
- Vinyl and leather treatment
- Vent and plastic cleaning
- Shampooing of seats, carpets, and mats
- Hand wash of vehicle exterior
- Exterior wax application
If you’re interested in having your car detailed regularly, you can look into a membership program. Many larger companies offer unlimited memberships with a flat monthly fee. If you can’t afford a complete package, you can also decide what you may be able to do yourself and what would be worth having a professional do.
