How much does a Smart car usually weigh? I read that heavier cars use more gas, so I’m just curious about lighter cars.

A typical Smart car will weigh around 1,550 pounds. It’s true that heavier cars require more fuel or energy, which is part of the reason that the Smart car is so eco-friendly. These tiny cars typically get 33 miles per gallon in the city and 39 miles per gallon on the highway. For reference, most SUVs get between 14 and 20 miles per gallon.
If you opt for the electric version of the Smart car, you’ll see an even better mileage rating. Electric Smart cars typically get 124 miles per gallon in the city and 94 miles per gallon on the highway.
