How much will it cost to replace the key card for my Tesla? I lost it, and I’d really like to get a new one, but I’m worried it’ll be super expensive.

key card replacement typically costs $25 to $35 depending on your model and where you live.
You can request a new Tesla key card in one of the following ways, depending on your circumstances:
  • If you’ve only lost one of your two Tesla key cards: Order a Tesla key card replacement online or at your local service center.
  • If you’ve lost both of your Tesla key cards: Schedule an appointment at your local Tesla dealer to program a new set of key cards.
The Tesla key card works as a backup to your smartphone, so you should still be able to unlock and drive your Tesla with the app. You can also purchase a key fob that pairs with your Tesla automatically and allows hands-free access.
